Live-action Halo: Reach short coming

Following the popular ‘Landfall’ live action promotional shorts for Halo 3 directed by Neil Blomkamp (District 9), fans will be excited to hear that a similar short will arrive this week in promotion of Halo: Reach.

Entitled ‘Birth of a Spartan’, the 60-second short is directed by Noam Murro and is a story focused on Spartan Carter 259. ‘Birth of a Spartan’ is scheduled for viewing online and on TV and theatres in the UK and the US. You can pretty much guarantee that we’ll be seeing this one on Xbox Live too.

While Murro doesn't quite have the sci-fi credentials of Blomkamp, he's best known for directing the 2008 romantic comedy Smart People.
