15 Jul 10

Electronic Arts has announced the Limited Edition bonuses for its upcoming first-person shooter Medal of Honor. Gamers who pre-order will have their version upgraded to the Limited Edition at no extra cost.

Ownership of the Limited Edition will grant players exclusive access to the MP7, a lightweight weapon with a a high rate of fire and the ability to penetrate body armour. "The MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle," said executive producer Greg Goodrich.

In addition, Limited Edition owners will benefit from immediate access to the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns, which normally require unlocking by leveling up.

Medal of Honor is scheduled for launch on October 15th for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Set in modern-day Afghanistan, it's the first game in the series' 11-year history to step outside the World War II theatre of war.
