Mortal Kombat demo exclusive to PlayStation Plus

Fri, 4th Mar 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

PlayStation and NetherRealm Studios have announced that a playable demo for Mortal Kombat will be available exclusively to PlayStation Plus members from March 8th (March 9th New Zealand time). The demo will apparently be made available to all PlayStation Network subscribers one week later.

The demo includes four playable characters: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Mileena. Reportedly, it will feature The Pit and The Living Forest arenas, offer both single-player and one-on-one versus modes, stereoscopic 3D support, and all of the characters' Fatalities and X-ray attacks.

Of course, the availability of this demo has not been officially confirmed for New Zealand PlayStation Plus users, although we see no reason why it shouldn't be made available here unless there's some connection with the Australian situation. Stay tuned for confirmation as soon as we receive it.
