Gears of War 3's Beast Mode footage revealed

Gears of War 3's upcoming multiplayer addition 'Beast Mode' - first teased by Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski at Microsoft's E3 presser - is rather similar to the popular 'Horde Mode' from Gears of War 2 that spawned a thousand copycats.

This time around, however, you take command of a variety of Locust beasties, ranging from the humble Ticker to the maneuverable Wretches to the gargantuan Berserkers!

According to early reports, players will gain experience that will unlock further Locust character models as they progress. If the following video is anything to go by, it looks as though you'll be squaring off against Gears. However, it's unclear at this stage whether an adversarial variant will be available that allows you to square off against human-controlled Gears.
