FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kotaku has reported that our very own Weta Workshop is constructing two ATVs based on the two-person Mongoose vehicles from the Halo games. The Mongooses will be made for a US Mountain Dew promotion, and one of them will be given away as a prize. Unfortunately, the competition is open only to US residents.

Weta, the studio famous for its involvement in the special effects for such films as Peter Jackson's King Kong and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, is also well-known for building the drivable Warthog vehicle used in some of the marketing for Halo 3.
