Apple reveals NZ pricing for iPod suite
Wed, 5th Oct 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple NZ has revealed the pricing structure for the updated iPod lineup, but has failed to confirm pricing and availability for the new iPhone 4S.

Leading the iPod family will be the iPod Touch, which will boast Apple's new iOS 5 and access to iCloud. The device will retail at $289 for the 8GB model, $429 for the 32GB model and $579 for the 64GB model.

Also receiving an update is the iPod Nano, which now features larger icons, new digital clock faces, and an exercise tool that tracks runs and walks out of the box, with no accessory required. The iPod Nano is priced at $189 for an 8GB model and $215 for a 16GB version.

The iPod Shuffle and iPod Classic will both remain on the market, despite predictions of their demise; the former costs just $69 while the latter sells for $369 in a 160GB model.

Apple NZ will continue to sell the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, pricing these at $899 and $599 respectively. As for the iPhone 4S, Apple NZ has only said the device will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK on October 14, and in 22 more countries – mostly in Europe – by the end of October.
