The ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has introduced its 2025 gaming laptop collection, featuring cutting-edge hardware from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA, along with redesigned chassis and cooling solutions.
Among the highlights of the launch is the ROG Strix series, which presents a refreshed design with tool-less access and enhanced lighting features. "As a flagship brand, gamers expect the best performance possible from ROG Strix," the press release states. The Strix SCAR models and Strix G-series now provide up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, supporting intensive gaming and productivity tasks.
The 2025 Strix laptops also boast improved cooling systems. The Intel-based Strix models are equipped with an end-to-end vapour chamber, a sandwiched heatsink, and a tri-fan system. "This new design saves space and increases cooling efficiency, especially when combined with a full-length rear exhaust vent," mentioned the release. In contrast, the AMD-based Strix models utilise seven heat pipes and full-width heatsinks for effective thermal management.
ASUS ROG has reimagined the portable gaming experience with the 2025 Flow Z13. This device incorporates a new chiplet processor from AMD, described as offering "gaming performance that is on par with Radeon 8060S graphics, with incredible power efficiency." Its 13.4-inch display supports a high refresh rate and colour accuracy, ensuring captivating visuals.
The Zephyrus range of laptops has also been updated with new ultra-portable designs. The Zephyrus G14 and G16 models include improved cooling systems and powerful CPUs such as the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285H, respectively. "These machines further refine the power and performance possible in an ultraslim form factor," the company declared in its announcement.
The ROG Zephyrus displays feature high resolutions and refresh rates, with 3K and 2.5K options providing vivid imagery for gamers and creators alike. Additionally, NVIDIA G-SYNC support enhances the viewing experience by reducing screen tearing.
The return of the ROG XG Mobile introduces Thunderbolt 5 to the portable external GPU market for the first time. This update allows broader compatibility with various devices, offering seamless connectivity and performance enhancements. "It's a single-cable solution to elevate an existing gaming laptop's performance," the release indicated, highlighting the external GPU's ability to integrate with Thunderbolt and USB4 devices.
The 2025 lineup of ROG laptops and peripherals showcases ASUS's commitment to meeting the demands of both gamers and content creators. With enhancements in processing power, graphics capabilities, and cooling efficiency, these new systems are designed to handle intensive computing tasks while maintaining high portability. Each component has been tailored to boost user experience in gaming and creative applications.
