Hands-on review: InvisibleShield Glass Elite VisionGuard+ For iPhone 11 Pro Max
Wed, 11th Dec 2019
FYI, this story is more than a year old

When you pay more than $2,000 for a device, and you are as clumsy as I am, the next natural step is to look for a really good screen protector.

You'd think that is an easy case of grab the first one you find type decision, but actually, there is a lot more to screen protectors. After extensive research, I chose the InvisibleShield Glass Elite VisionGuard+ for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and here is why.

The Glass Elite VisionGuard+ has an Anti-Microbial Technology that kills 99.99% of surface bacteria on your screen. I didn't know that was possible. Considering that no matter how clean we are, our phone screens are absolutely filthy, I was intrigued by the idea.

The way the VisionGuard+ does it is by embedding silver ions in the glass itself. This means that the treatment won't wear off after a while. While it's not really testable, it certainly does provide reassurance.

The Glass Elite uses aluminosilicate glass that undergoes an ion-exchange tempering that increases the surface tension of said glass, making it four times stronger and more scratch-resistant. The Glass Elite VisionGuard+ also has reinforced edges for increased protection. This prevents any chips or crack that may result from a fall from spreading.

While the anti-bacteria technology and the shatter and scratch resistance alone would've convinced me, the Glass Elite VisionGuard+ is also fingerprint proof. It uses a technology that hides the fingerprints on your screen. While it doesn't completely prevent them, the technology used spreads oils from fingerprints so thinly on the surface that it allows light to pass through the oil, making said fingerprints virtually invisible.

If you are anything like me, then you spend a lot of time looking at your phone screen. Studies have shown that prolonged exposure to mobile phone screens can cause severe health problems like premature eye aging and blurred vision.

The Glass Elite VisionGuard+ filters harmful high-energy visible (HEV) light from your phone's screen, which decreases those risks. The Eyesafe layer filters harmful blue light which can contribute to digital eye strain while maintaining the true colours of the iPhone's screen.

One of the most annoying parts about screen protectors is how hard it is to perfectly install them. One little speck of dust could render a brand new screen protector useless. One small handshake can make the screen protector uneven.

The makers of the InvisibleShield Glass Elite VisionGuard+ thought this process through and came up with a solution to every potential problem. The Screen protector ships with detailed instructions, a cleaning wipe, a dust removal sticker and a microfiber cloth to make sure your screen is clean, smudge and fingerprint free before the application, an EZ apply plastic tray to make sure your screen protector is aligned correctly an. Finally, black rubber install mat to ensure a slip-proof surface to work on.

The InvisibleShield Glass Elite VisionGuard+ is a must have one of a kind screen protector that protects your phone from so much more than scratches and cracks.
