Techie toothbrush gives feedback on your clean

Fri, 20th Jan 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Lazy tooth brushers beware: the Oral-B Triumph with Smart Guide is here to lick you into shape.

Fitted with microchips which track what you're doing and communicate wirelessly with a remote display, the toothbrush can tell you if you're applying too much pressure, if you've cleaned one particular area enough, and when you've reached the recommended two minutes brushing time.

Stars appear to indicate how your clean is progressing, and a five-star performance is rewarded with a smiley face.

The brush itself has four settings: Clean for a general brush, Sensitive for the delicate areas, Polish for a bit of sparkle and Massage for the gums.

At $214.62 it's pretty pricey, but if it spares you (or your kids) just one visit to the dentist we figure it's money well spent.
