UPDATED: 2.5m hits down as Tui YouTube prank goes viral

It's not often you catch a YouTube video before it goes viral, but this Tui prank is fast taking the internet by storm.

Now reaching 2.5 million hits in less than three days, the clip is now appearing overseas as the world awakens to a group of Kiwi mates taking DYI to the extreme.

Playing "a bit of a joke" on their mate Russ, the lads plumbed kegs of Tui beer into every tap in the house, attaching heaps of cameras to capture the action.

"It took us all day to set up but it was worth it when the icy cool beer came pouring out," said the lads, no doubt completely smashed by the end of it.
